Colorado K9’S is a new company dedicated to training dogs and their handlers to work as a team.  Training courses are specific for each dog and handler team to create a unique, manicured, happy dog that responds not only to commands, but changes in brainwaves, body chemicals, and muscle movement.  The training process used here is very extraordinary and designed to maximize potential and communication.  Working with the needs of each dog individually, we can develop their instincts, focus, and responsiveness; teaching dogs to think, learn, and act according to their surroundings and handler.  Each dog is evaluated comprehensively and trained accordingly.  

Evaluations:  designed to understand how the dog not only behaves, but how they see themselves in the ‘pack’.  The knowledge gained from the evaluation process helps to gauge how to begin training and how to take them through the process to make them the best they can be.

Training: there are five levels, each with a specific purpose.  Every handler goes through each level with their dog teaching them how to communicate with the dog, as well as, teaching the dog to communicate with the handler.  The process is tailored to meet the needs of each dog, creating an environment that makes them want more.  Through the training, the dogs have a sense of accomplishment which makes them proud of themselves; they feel like they have achieved something and relish the reward for doing so.  Developing their focus on their handler is key to producing a team, working together and winning together, without taking the dog out of the dog.  Colorado K9’s is proud to train dogs how to think and respond while letting them be themselves, the best friend that the handler fell in love with!
